It is a new component of the new Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 primer smartphones. They have an FHD+ display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. In terms of processing capacity, it is one of the first phones with MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. The base version comes with 4GB of RAM.

The lack of a budget or mid-level sector definition is a waterproof feature. Most phones don’t offer this, except for the price of waterproof and waterproof smartphones. So, if you are interested in whether Xiaomi Redmi 10 and Redmi 10 Prime phones are waterproof, be sure to read this article.

Is Xiaomi Redmi 10 & Redmi 10 Prime Waterproof ?

Although there is no official IP rating for the Xiaomi Redmi 10 or 10 Prime smartphone. Therefore, it can be safely assumed that the cell phone is waterproof. There is no harm in thinking so. However, if you study the technical characteristics of the Redmi Note 10, you will be surprised that the phone has a waterproof IP53 rating. Try to avoid any confusion between completely different components of the smartphone.

Although we decided to test the smartphone against water. This allows us to easily find out if these smartphones are waterproof.

As part of the experiment, we will place both wires in a container filled with water. This should mimic a water spray test, and most modern smartphones should be able to withstand it. In this experiment, we do not keep the phone in water for a long time. However, we will test the wire after it has dried thoroughly.

The test consists of second part of a submerged test. To simulate this, we place the wire in a bowl of water for 1 minute. This should help us answer the question of whether the phone is waterproof by checking that the phone is waterproof. As mentioned before, we will test the wire after it has been thoroughly cleaned and dried.

First, check both wires for normal spills. This experiment should mimic the version where your phone falls into a small sink or pool and gets it as quickly as possible. So we put the phone in a bowl, took it, and then dried it. Both phones seem to work perfectly without any problems. The phone passes the spray test, which means you don’t have to worry if your phone falls into the sink and you pick it up quickly.

Although it is not clear whether we will repeat the test several times, we cannot be sure that the phone will continue to work after multiple broadcasts. This may be effective, but you should try to avoid such situations.

So let’s test the wire with a harder wire. We kept both phones under separate water for a minute. My friend, it was only a minute. After removing the wire from the water, I tried to clean it thoroughly to make sure there were no water particles. Now we’ve tested everything from sensors, cameras, charging ports, speakers, and microphones. None of them had a problem. All parts seem to work well on the phone without any problems. This should prove that the phone is slightly water-resistant, even though there is no official IP rating from Xiaomi.

As you can see, both Xiaomi Redmi 10 and 10 Prime are not waterproof phones in terms of design. The test results suggest that the wires are better waterproof. Like the IP53 rated Redmi Note 10, the phone does not have an official IP rating. This means that the wires are waterproof and structurally waterproof. However, none of this means that you should start using your phone underwater or in the rain. These protections are intended to “protect” in the event of an accidental fall into the water.
